Synopsis
Enjoy the ambiance of one of Sedona's most noted resorts as you discover two great American treasures -Sedona and the Grand Canyon. With towering red rock spires, the glistening waters and vertical cliffs of Oak Creek Canyon and its artistic spirit, Sedona's reputation is richly deserved. Walk beneath buttes and spires of seemingly man-made form and delight in the contrast of opaque reds against the luminous blue of a midday sky. The lush green surroundings and active wildlife of Oak Creek Canyon will only add to your life-long memories of an amazing Sedona visit. Sedona is located 120 miles north of Phoenix; commercial shuttle available from Phoenix airport.
Sedona elevation is 4500 feet. Grand Canyon South Rim elevation is 7000 feet.

Course description
Grand Canyon and Sedona

Sedona and Grand Canyon are THE TWO most awe-inspiring sites Arizona has to offer. From red rock majesty to the mile deep canyon of the Colorado, fully experience these spectacular destinations. In Sedona, delve into the mysteries of ancient cultures during a visit to the 800 year old cliff dwellings of Montezuma Castle National Monument. Enjoy an open air trolley ride to Sedona's finest sites and hear a Hopi woman's life story. Travel through lush Oak Creek Canyon as you embark on a full day visit to the Grand Canyon. Learn how this layer cake of stone took shape during a presentation by a noted geologist. Walk along the rim, peer into its depths and experience what Teddy Roosevelt said "is the one great sight that every American should see."

Accommodations
This program utilizes a variety of hotels, from resort settings to an uptown Sedona boutique hotel.  All hotels offer a view of Sedona’s Red Rocks.
